The Programs Fair happens during the first week of fall term. Student groups from the University Of Oregon set up booths and promote their student group. The NAfME Collegiate teaches five minute lessons on a variety of instruments and provides information on ensembles at the School of Music. This event is a great opportunity for UO NAfME Collegiate members to practice teaching instrument and voice lessons.
The ASUO (Associated Students of the University of Oregon) Street Faire is similar to the Week of Welcome and happens during the first week of May (http://asuo.uoregon.edu/executive.php?a=27#). Many performing groups and vendors set up booths along 13th street on campus. NAfME Collegiate also offers five minute lessons and information about ensembles at the School of Music.

On Thursday October 13, 2011, the University of Oregon NAfME Collegiate put on its first ever Fashion Show! Walking in to room 173, you would have never thought you were in the School of Music and Dance. The lights were hot, the cat walk vibrant, flash photographers clicking, models dressed, music cued, and the audience curiously wanting, wondering what was coming.
Organized, emceed, DJ’d, and modeled by the U of O NAfME Collegiate members, the Fall Fashion show exemplified classic professional dress for teaching, interviews, recitals, and auditions. Not only was professional dress modeled, but inappropriate and unprofessional dress was modeled, explained by the emcee, and transformed to become appropriate (adding an under shirt, changing socks, taking off excess accessories, and much more).
The evening concluded with laughs, cat calls, flash photography, lots of fun, a raffle for men’s and women’s dress socks, and a complimentary performance by the University of Oregon’s very own male A Cappella ensemble On The Rocks! Visit their website for more photos, videos, and events at
